Today, the question is whether data ecosystems and, above all, trustworthy data ecosystems will have the same disruptive impact on our economy as the WWW, and I dare say that they will.
An Interview with Ulrich Ahle
Gaia-X, the European initiative to create interoperable data spaces, has a reputation for being slow and bureaucratic. Ulrich Ahle, previously CEO of the FIWARE Foundation, has now taken over the lead. His task is to coordinate the European stakeholders better and drive the use of data spaces in industry forward. 2022 was another record year for North American PLM integration and migration expert PROSTEP, Inc. This marks four consecutive years of record growth. PROSTEP’s enterprise-grade commercial off the shelf (COTS) software for PLM integration, migration, and collaboration, data exchange, and digital thread led growth with a 40% increase in year-over-year bookings.

PROSTEP will start delivering version 9.5 of its OpenDXM GlobalX data exchange platform, which boasts numerous new features and improvements, in December 2023. This includes the option of setting up a deputy regulation specifying who is permitted to download data in the event of a planned or unplanned absence. The Customizing Client is now also fully integrated in the web interface.

PROSTEP, Inc., the US American subsidiary of PROSTEP Group, has recently demonstrated three integrations which allow to exchange or to link data between Dassault Systèmes, Cameo Systems Modeler and Teamcenter from Siemens Digital Industries Software.
