OpenDXM GlobalX 9.4 improves system administration on the web

By Daniel Wiegand

Just in time for Christmas, PROSTEP is making the new version 9.4 of the OpenDXM GlobalX data exchange platform available to its maintenance customers for download via the customer portal. The major release not only makes work easier for system administrators, but also expands PDM integrations. It also optimizes data handling in distributed environments with the help of alternative FileVaults.

With version 9.4, we have completed the porting of all administration functions to the new web client. This means that administrators can, for example, manage and maintain release processes according to the 4-eyes principle, send broadcast messages by e-mail to user groups, or attach user-specific import specifications on the Web. We have also further improved the options for monitoring and controlling the OpenDXM GlobalX processing procedures.

The integration of data exchange processes with PDM/PLM systems has also been improved in OpenDXM GlobalX 9.4. A completely redesigned wizard simplifies job creation, and the use of the components of the new OpenPDM Generation 9 enables more efficient execution of the processes.

When transferring data, the function for determining a hash value can be activated to ensure the integrity of the transferred data. This ensures even greater security during data exchange.

Our software developers have also optimized the concept introduced in previous versions with alternative FileVaults. OpenDXM GlobalX is now able to distribute data to different regions using FileVaults. Incoming data can now be visualized more easily. In a gallery in the input area, they are displayed as preview files in the form of graphics or videos.
