News about PROSTEP Products in a Nutshell

  • In July 2024, PROSTEP released Feature Pack 3 (FP3) for OpenPDM 9.7. One new feature is that the OpenPDM QueryClient, which is part of the user interface for admins, now also supports the display of circular product structures. The Process Engine has been updated to Camunda 7.21 and Process Modeler 5.25. In addition, the third-party libraries for all OpenPDM services and components have been updated.
  • Together with FP3, PROSTEP is providing security patches for OpenPDM releases 9.6 and 9.5, which are currently in support.
  • The OpenPDM Windchill Connector now also supports the change management domain when using the PTC REST interface and can therefore also be used for Windchill Cloud or Windchill+, for example. When using the PTC Method Service Interfaces, change management is of course still supported by the OpenPDM Windchill Connector as usual.
  • The OpenPDM 3DEXPERIENCE Connector supports the release R2024x FD02 from Dassault Systèmes.
  • The OpenPDM Arena Connector has been updated to OpenPDM SaaS and supports the current PTC Arena 2024.2 release.
  • The OpenPDM SAP S/4HANA Connector supports the breaking changes in the SAP model published by SAP with FP3.
  • The documentation for the OpenPDM Codebeamer Connector has been expanded and the Reference Guide has been restructured.
  • Patch version 9.5.2 of OpenDXM GlobalX was released in June. The new features include improved maintenance of the import specifications for user accounts and additional options for cleanup rules for WebSpace content. In addition, administrators can now take over the permission sets when a WebSpace changes ownership
  • Also in June, version 4.4 of the Batch Processing Framework (BPF) was released, which includes a modernized job monitoring display and enables the configuration of multiple controller backends in the PDM integrations.
  • A completely revised plugin for the ActiveWorkspace client of Teamcenter version 2312 is available for OpenDXM GlobalX. The new version also supports PDM integration with Windchill 13 and conversions with Creo 11.
