PROSTEP and Dassault Systèmes expand their 3DX cloud partnershipBy Mirko Theiß PROSTEP has been offering integrations between SAP's ERP solutions and Dassault Systèmes' cloud-based PLM platform 3DExperience (3DX) for a while now. Using our OpenPDM integration technology, we are now also able to develop connectors for connecting the PLM solutions Teamcenter from Siemens and Windchill from PTC to the private or public 3DX cloud. PROSTEP and Dassault Systèmes recently expanded their partnership to provide integrations for the 3DX cloud. The agreement provides us with the opportunity to connect both Dassault Systèmes' private and public cloud offerings with the PLM systems Teamcenter and Windchill. The integrations support hybrid scenarios, i.e. they are not only able to connect the 3DX cloud with Teamcenter and Windchill instances installed on-premises but also with the cloud-based versions TeamcenterX and Windchill+. The new offering is intended for customers who are already using Teamcenter and Windchill and would like to move their CAD data management to the cloud. This makes it possible for the first time to use the CAD functionality provided by the 3DExperience cloud offering with CATIA V5 Power'By and CATIA 3DExperience (CATIA V6) and to link the design information with the downstream processes in Teamcenter or Windchill. Our modular digital thread platform, with its integration technology and time-tested OpenPDM connectors, provides the basis for all integrations, including the integrations between SAP R/3 and SAP S/4 HANA and the 3DX cloud. Thanks to the partnership with Dassault Systèmes, we can further expand our range of standardized integration and data exchange solutions and enable the automotive supplier industry in particular to respond flexibly to changes in their customers' system landscapes.
