PROSTEP and Arcwide strengthen Collaboration on PLM/ERP Integration

Arcwide is a global implementation partner and system integrator specializing in the deployment of IFS business software solutions. Founded in 2022 as a joint venture between IFS and the management and technology consultancy BearingPoint, the company is headquartered in the Netherlands. Today, Arcwide employs around 550 people across more than 20 countries, making it one of the largest IFS partners worldwide. The company has significantly expanded its market presence in the DACH region in recent years through strategic acquisitions, such as the takeover of Swiss-based bytics Group and Austrian Kreuzbauer IT. As a global IFS Elite Partner, Arcwide actively drives digital continuity for its customers and strategically relies on high performance integration solutions such as PROSTEP’s OpenPDM.

The intensified collaboration with Arcwide is a logical consequence of our recently established partnership with IFS, which grants us access to the software manufacturer’s API technology. Based on this API, we have developed an OpenPDM connector that links IFS software to our proven Digital Thread Platform. Together with Arcwide, we aim to further expand our expertise in PLM/ERP and asset management integration and tap into new markets and customer segments. As a globally active partner, Arcwide has a strong presence not only in Europe, but also in North America, the Middle East, India, and other regions, serving customers in sectors such as manufacturing, aerospace, energy, telecommunications, construction and engineering, and various service intensive industries.

The greatest added value for customers arises from combining Arcwide’s deep process and IFS software expertise with PROSTEP’s integration technology. OpenPDM offers standardized connectors to common PLM, ALM, ERP, and MES systems, reducing the effort required to develop and maintain numerous point to point integrations and making scalability easier. “The proven integration technology and the fact that a fully functioning connector to IFS ERP already exists were key reasons for pursuing this collaboration,” says Andreas Weigel, Global Head of Service & Asset Management at Arcwide. “Moreover, we want to benefit from PROSTEP’s many years of experience and provide our customers with an even faster and more reliable connection between their PLM and IFS solutions.”
