OpenDXM 6.5 Offers Many New Featuresby Daniel Wiegand PROSTEP presented the new version 6.5 of the world's leading data exchange solution, OpenDXM, at this year's TECHDAY. It includes numerous enhancements that make work easier not only for users but also for system administrators. As with its web-based sister solution OpenDXM GlobalX, PROSTEP has replaced the Java applets with a new technology that can run in any browser without a plug-in. 
OpenDXM 6.5 offers numerous enhancements that relieve end users of routine tasks when creating data exchange jobs. Extensions to the automatic format recognition function provide an even higher level of automation when importing and converting data. New functions in the job management console also provide system administrators with better support. In addition, the multi-select function in the database editor relieves them of the need for tiresome constant clicks. Furthermore, OpenDXM 6.5 offers support for new operating systems and can be integrated in the SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR), which serves as a platform for integrating authoring systems in SAP. The new version will be launched on the market in November 2016. |
