News about PROSTEP Products in a Nutshell

You can find all the information on the new features of the latest software versions here.

  • PROSTEP continues to expand its SaaS portfolio with powerful new connectors for Azure DevOps and Jama. These connectors enable companies to integrate their ALM systems seamlessly, securely, and at scale into existing IT environments while ensuring end-to-end connectivity across development and requirements management processes. Already proven in on-premises usage, the solutions are now also available as flexible cloud services via the PROSTEP SaaS Portal. Customers benefit from greater agility, faster integration, and a future-ready platform for modern lifecycle management.
  • With the new PROSTEP OSLC Consumer Connector systems that offer an OSLC interface (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration) can be connected including solutions such as IBM DOORS Next. This offers additional opportunities for standards-based integration of ALM and engineering systems. The connector supports both INTEGRATE and TRACE scenarios, enabling seamless integration and end-to-end traceability across system boundaries. With this addition, PROSTEP reinforces its commitment to open standards while giving customers maximum flexibility in connecting their system environments.
  • For some time now, the import scenarios of OpenDXM GlobalX PDM integrations have been expanded to include previews of CAD data, giving users a better basis for making import decisions. This option has now been extended to include previews of CAD data in STEP format.
  • When importing data as part of PDM integrations, additional attributes can now be created in the PDM system. This is possible if the customer-specific data model requires additional attributes. The attributes can be assigned interactively in the import wizard or read from attributes in the CAD data record, for example.
  • Another new feature in the import process is the execution of workflows in the PDM system after successful import. One possible use case is, for example, the generation of 2D or 3D derivatives (PDF, JT, STEP, etc.) from the native CAD data.
